Originally from New Zealand, Tanya immigrated to the US in 2006.
She loves to paint predominantly the female figure, wildlife, and nature, and is excited to share these with her collectors through prints, originals and other collectables. She is most interested in themes of divinity and connection, and relationship to and with nature.
Tanya has a strong style emerging and likes to work in a multi-layered process with a variety of materials. She describes her work as Urban Impressionist Realism. To her this means that she is aiming for a graphic street/pop art style that focuses on portraying internal hearts and souls, and emotional states of being. She is often working to reveal the inward parts of a person.
Her other painting goal is to tell "epic stories" in paint; Monumental Timeline anthology or compendium stuff where the imagery is rerring to both larger than life archetypal ideas as well as its subjective relativity to the individual.
When she is not painting, Tanya connects with friends and family across the globe. Much of her time she has doggie companions that are always hoping for a long walk between painting sessions. She enjoys coffee, food, wine and laughter with her favorite people.
She is thrilled to be working at something she is absolutely passionate about and works to provide beautiful imaginative art for her collectors around the world.
